My Dear People,
The acute desperation by the Scarfmore regime to railroad the pillaging of the constitution to allow the octogenarian to cling tenaciously to power is almost pitiful to behold.
The bald-faced lie that the country’s citizens are desperate for the vapid leadership of Ngwena to extend beyond 2028, is being exposed for the hogwash that it is in embarrassing fashion.
The threat by madam Vigi that ministers who do not toe the line in defending resolutions agreed in cabinet should resign, is a clear indication that even among the country’s chefs, the idea of an extension of Ngwena’s sterile leadership is difficult to stomach.
The efforts by the police to thwart any meeting that opposes the desecration of the supreme law for what are clearly selfish interests, is a shameful indicator of the brazen attempt to stifle dissent.
The attempt to paint the brazen constitutional coup as one popular with the masses is no different from one trying to stitch one’s bottom to prevent diahorrea.
Even the attempt to sell the idea that the scandalous changes to the constitution which extends Scarfmore’s tenure as the country’s leader will boost investor confidence is laughable as it is nonsensical.
What drives investor confidence is policy consistency and the fair application of the rule of law not the extension of Scarfmore’s stay in office. If this part of Operation Restore Legacy, then I shudder to imagine what their definition of chaos is.
Munopengaaa!!!
The visit of South Africa leader Cyril to hold discussions with his counterpart has raised eyebrows.
Moreso when the meeting did not involve any officials within government but included the shady businessmen whose wealth is allegedly tied to grabbing huge state contracts without going through the niceties of going to tender.
There are varied reports of what was discussed in that meeting but what is sure is that the meeting has left a sour taste in the mouth of many.
The South African leader’s visit has been heavily criticised back home including by the Democratic Alliance who form part of the unity government.
Such was the backlash that Cyril had to issue a statement pointing out it was an official visit to discuss issues of mutual interest.
I have a sneaky suspicion that the planned tearing apart of the country’s supreme law by Scarfmore and co featured prominently in those talks, especially after it has stoked xenophobic attacks on Zimbabweans south of the Limpopo.
Constitution Amendment Bill 3 or CAB3 is in no way popular, as spewed by the various apologists including the so-called varakashi, if anything it has raised a major stink.
Munopengaaa!!!
The amateurish attempt to put a positive spin on the clueless leadership of the Scarfmore regime has only managed to invite ridicule and contempt.
The claims in one of the weekly state rags that the country has created half a million jobs in the past two years has been rightly met with howls of derision by the country’s citizens who are experiencing firsthand the increased level of unemployment.
It is incredibly daft to make such fatuous claims especially after revelations by official statistics that the informal sector has grown to more than three quarters of the county’s population.
It is difficult to tell whether this fairy tale is worse than the drivel of the recent report by state media that some fuel stations have started selling fuel in the country’s discredited funny money otherwise known as Zimbabwe Gold (ZiG).
Such nonsense on steroids has a major characteristic of this dispensation of poverty, darkness and confusion.
The spewing of such ghastly tripe sadly begins at the very top of the regime’s information ministry.
Who can forget the astonishing claptrap by Nurse Nicky that a white individual, who had been trotted out by the regime to defend the calamitous 2023 harmonised elections, was a former Australian prime minister?
The thin line between propaganda and unadulterated nonsense has been seriously blurred under this so called second repubric.
Munopengaaa!!!!
The country commemorated World Press Freedom Day with Soda sharing a few words to mark the day.
His claims, however, of the regime being a proponent of press freedom was met with no little amount of skepticism.
This is the same regime that has violated the letter and spirit of section 61(4) of the country’s constitution which obliges state media to publish all views in a fair and objective manner.
The state media has been turned into nothing more than institutions that parrot whatever comes out from the ruining party Zanu PF without question.
It is a huge stain on the so called second repubric that the country only has one terrestrial television station even after the propelling of this rudderless regime through guns and tanks.
It is a damning indictment of the regime of the Scarfed one that licences for broadcasting have been dished out mainly to state media and individuals who are part of the ruining party Zanu PF.
There has even been absurd calls for AMH journalist Blessed Mhlanga to be arrested and have his passport confiscated all because his remarks at a conference in Switzerland offended the regime.
This makes Soda’s remarks on the day meaningless and not worth the paper they are written on.
Munopengaaaaaa!
