ZMBABWE’S celebrated husband and wife Afro-fusion act, FaB Fusion Duo, is set to unveil its highly-anticipated album, Zuva Rovira, a deeply moving and richly layered musical journey whose title translates to “When the sun sets”.
Currently in Portugal for a three-week musical visit and international performance experience, the two will officially launch the album at The Bar Next Door on June 13 upon their return, marking a powerful homecoming celebration for their fans and music.
Known for their electrifying live performances, soulful vocals, powerful storytelling and seamless musical chemistry, FaB Fusion Duo continues to redefine Zimbabwe’s live music scene with authenticity and originality.
Their ability to blend Afro-fusion rhythms with heartfelt narratives has earned them a loyal and growing audience both on stage and across the airwaves.
Following the success of their hit single Treble, which became a radio favourite after its Easter 2024 release and the chart-dominating Chimdhudhudhu, which remained on the Classic 263 Top 10 for more than 30 weeks, the two now return with what promises to be their most personal project yet.
The album Zuva Rovira features collaborations with an exciting line-up of artistes and musicians including Doc Simple, Mannex Motsi, Solomon, Vanny, Graig, Joe Vas, and the acclaimed FaB Ovation Band.
Adding an exciting visual dimension to the launch event, FaB Fusion will partner M&M Dance Factory, whose dancers will bring selected songs from Zuva Rovira to life through choreographed performances.
The collaboration celebrates the powerful connection between music and dance, promising audiences a vibrant and immersive live performance. At the heart of Zuva Rovira is family, legacy, love and resilience.
Beyond being a husband and wife musical partnership, FaB Fusion Duo also shares the stage and studio with their son, making their creative journey deeply rooted in generational connection and shared passion.
The album carries special emotional significance as it features guitar works by the late Nigel Wyngard — Brennan’s father — whose band later joined forces with FaB Fusion to become one musical family.
As the first anniversary of his passing on approaches, his contribution adds a profound and timeless layer to the project, turning the album launch into both a celebration of music and a tribute to legacy, memory and enduring influence.
Recorded through seasons of growth, travel and reflection, Zuva Rovira captures themes of transition, hope, distance and reunion, giving the project an even deeper emotional resonance.
With fresh original compositions, compelling collaborations and stories that resonate deeply with everyday life, Zuva Rovira invites listeners to the intimate world of a family bound together by music.
As anticipation builds around the launch, audiences can expect a sound that is both deeply Zimbabwean and universally human, bold, soulful, reflective and unforgettable.
