CRANBORNE Bullets returned to winning ways, edging a disappointing Bulawayo Chiefs in a tepid Castle Lager Premier Soccer League match at Luveve Stadium yesterday.

Veteran Brian Muzondiwa converted form the spot on the 42nd minute and it was the solitary goal that separated the two sides.

The army side’s coach Nesbert Saruchera was naturally excited with the win.

“We did well. We deserved to win. We are happy to collect maximum points. I don’t want to take away anything from Bulawayo Chiefs,” Saruchera said.

Chiefs coach Nilton Terosso conceded defeat, but felt his team was hard-done by the match officials.

Midway through the second half, Chiefs had several penalty appeals turned down by the referee.

“My opinion is that we should be respected as small clubs,” Terroso said.
