The ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup-bound Zimbabwe Under-19 team posted convincing wins in their two matches against the touring Dubai Academy side in practice matches at Old Hararians Sports Club over the weekend.
Zimbabwe won the first match played on Saturday by 216 runs before wrapping up the second match, the next day by six wickets.
In the first match Zimbabwe won the toss and elected to bat before being bowled out for 303 runs in 46,4 of their allotted 50 overs.
Left-handed batsman Ryan Burl top-scored for the hosts with a career best 142 while all-rounder Malcolm Lake chipped with 46 runs.
Lake, who is also a right-arm medium bowler, would return to trouble the visitors with the ball after claiming six wickets for 17 runs in 4,3 overs to bowl out the tourists for just 87 runs in 18,3 overs.
Bulawayo-born seamer Kyle Bowie was also in good form as he claimed four scalps for 16 runs in five overs. In the second match Dubai Academy struggled yet again with the bat after being bowled out for a measly 117 runs in 25,4 overs with Imran Khan with 30 runs.

In reply Zimbabwe easily reached the target after finishing on 118 for six in 20,2 overs with Peacemore Zimwa top scoring with 25 runs.
Under-19 head coach Chris Harris commended Zimbabwe Cricket for organising the practice matches ahead of the World Cup set for August this year in Australia.
