HARARE, Apr. 17 (NewsDay Live) – ZIFA Harare Province has lined up an Independence Cup clash between Scottland Football Academy and Herentals FC U19 tomorrow as part of national celebrations.
The match will be played at St Aidens Primary School in Chitungwiza, the host venue for Harare Metropolitan Province Independence Day festivities.
The fixture forms part of a broader programme using sport—particularly football—to mark the country’s independence.
In Matabeleland South, Scottland FC will face Highlanders FC in another headline Independence Cup tie set for Maphisa, a fixture expected to draw strong crowds.
Football has become a central feature of Zimbabwe’s Independence Day commemorations.
