Zimbabwe’s Warriors received a boost ahead of their Africa Cup of Nations Group B match against Angola national football team after several injured players returned to full training in Marrakech.
According to a team media update, the Warriors held a full training session on Wednesday from 10 a.m. to noon, with high intensity reported across the camp.
All players trained except defender Munashe Garananga, who missed the session with a dead leg. Team officials said his condition is being monitored by medical staff.
Midfielder Knowledge Musona, along with Sean Fusire and Divine Lunga, completed the entire session after missing Zimbabwe’s opening match against Egypt national football team because of injury. Team officials said the trio showed readiness to return to competitive action.
Zimbabwe and Angola both opened their Group B campaigns at the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025 with 2-1 defeats, Zimbabwe losing to Egypt and Angola to South Africa national football team.
The teams meet at Marrakesh Stadium on Dec. 26, with kickoff at 1:30 p.m. local time (12:30 GMT). It will be their first meeting at an AFCON finals.

Angola and Zimbabwe have met four times in AFCON qualifying, in 1998 and 2013, with Angola finishing ahead of Zimbabwe on both occasions to reach the finals. They were also paired in 2006 World Cup qualifying, with each team winning its home match. Angola went on to qualify for the 2006 World Cup in Germany.
Angola has won the last two meetings between the sides and three of the last four overall. Zimbabwe has one win. Their first meeting was a friendly in 1985, which Zimbabwe won 3-2 on Nov. 10.
