EASTERN Region Division One Football pacesetters Hartley Academy stumbled in their bid to outpace their rivals to topflight league promotion when they when they were held to a one all by Prime Rangers on Saturday.

On the other hand Mutare City Rovers battled to a 2-1 win against FC Three Leaves to reduce the gap at the summit of the log standings to three points.

Hartley Academy has so far picked 45 points from 21 matches, while Rovers are on second position with 42 points.

The Mutare municipality owned side had one of their worst performances of this term despite the win as they laboured against a 10-man Chipinge based side.

Chipinge scored through Cosmore Ndagurwa before midfielder Aldrich Mubango equalised midway in the second half.
