Moyo was speaking at a Zimbabwe Congress of Students’ Union-organised Africa Day commemorations at Harare Polytechnic yesterday.

He said the idea of national unity had always been the primary goal for the ideology of pan-Africanism.

“I call upon the youths and students of this nation to embrace every opportunity in Africa that can push the position of our local people forward in a globalised world,” Khaya Moyo said.

“The Bible teaches us not to steal and, therefore, those who are corrupt or have friends who are corrupt should not be tolerated,” he said.

Zimbabwe War Veterans’ Association chairman Jabulani Sibanda addressed the students on the need to be proud of their identity.

Home Affairs deputy minister Ziyambi Ziyambi and hundreds of students from different higher and tertiary institutions in the country attended the commemorations.
