Netone spent close to RTGS165 000 towards their Christmas donation to people living with albinism in Harare today.
The company spent RTGS125 000 on groceries and about RTGS45 000 on 1000 packs of sanitary pads for the females in the group.
The event was graced by about 100 people living with albinism
Speaking at the handover, the Executive Director Marketing , Dr Eldrette Shereni, for Netone said this was a commemoration for a marginalized group which is often forgotten.
“People living with albinism are often forgotten and we have just decided to give them a Christmas gift so that they know someone out there is looking out for them,” she said.

Each of the 100 hampers given per household on this day had macaroni, beans ,peanut butter, sugar and mazoe amongst many other things.
Speaking at the same event, Director for Albinism Alive, Gwen Mushonga said they appreciated the gesture and urged her constituency to seek empowerment more than gifts.
