Prince K as Musarurwa is popularly known said the concerts will be monthly events, which are also a tribute to his late grandfather Augustine Musarurwa.

“The concert features Alfred Nenguwo — an award-winning artiste. We decided to do a joint concert to celebrate township-type of music and also to celebrate and acknowledge my late grandfather Augustine Musarurwa,” Musarurwa said.

The MaGumbo hit-maker said he will also introduce his new songs at the concert.

“I will introduce my new song Muchakwakuzirwa a township jam, as well as a collaboration I did with Alfred called Nasahwira Wangu. Our plan is to host the concert every month and we will be introducing new Afro-jazz acts as we go,” he said.

The Mbare-born Nenguwo, who appears to have affirmed his position as the heir apparent to township jazz band Mbare Trio is among the most sought-after jazz artistes in the country at the moment.

Some of his notable tracks making waves on the showbiz circuit include Ndomirira, Kambo, Tarisa and Tirikwedu, among others.
