A 30-YEAR-OLD Marange woman has landed herself in trouble after she was found in illegal possession of three pieces of diamonds.

Moline Chirau, from Chief Marange’s area, was not asked to plead to the charge when she appeared before Mutare magistrate Sekai Chiundura on Friday.

She was granted $150 bail and remanded to September 30.

Prosecutor Fletcher Karombe told the court that on September 14 this year, three police detectives were on routine patrol at Tenda business centre when they received a tip-off that the accused was in possession of three pieces of the gem stone.

The detectives stormed Chirau’s homestead and allegedly recovered the precious stones stashed in a wallet hidden in her wardrobe, leading to her arrest.
