Air Zimbabwe (AirZim) aborted its scheduled Harare-Bulawayo flight on Monday evening after its pilot reportedly fell ill, leaving several passengers stranded. Passengers, who had checked-in for the flight were only advised of the cancellation hours later.

AirZim spokesperson, Firstme Vitori said: “The return flight from Harare to Bulawayo for April 2, 2018, had to be cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances, where the pilot fell ill inadvertently and the relief pilot was unavailable to take up duty immediately,” she said.

Vitori said some pilots were undergoing command training and would be joining the fleet at command level later this month.
