HIGH Court judge Justice Clement Phiri succumbed to COVID-19-related complications on Sunday evening at his home in Marondera.

He was 60.

“An astute, but unassuming judge, he will be fondly remembered for his immense contribution to the development of the Zimbabwean jurisprudence in the 34 years he was part of the justice delivery system. The Zimbabwean Judiciary is poorer without him,” Judicial Service Commission spokesperson, Rumbidzai Takawira said in a statement yesterday.
