The trial of Bulawayo MDC–T councillor Monica Lubimbi — jointly charged with seven alleged accomplices for the murder of an Emakhandeni man following a house ownership wrangle with one of the suspects — has been further remanded to November 11.

Lubimbi (60) is on $300 bail, but her accomplices are still in custody. The Ward 29 councillor is alleged to have connived with seven others, Pisi Nxumalo (56), Nkosinathi Khumalo (27), Ntando Moyo (21), Opah Moyo (59), Busani Sibanda (30), Xolani Ncube (30) and Hlonipani Mugayo (29) to kill Mgoli Majola, who was embroiled in a seven-year wrangle over a house with Khumalo.

They appeared before Bulawayo magistrate Tawanda Muchemwa. Charges against them are that Khumalo and the now deceased, Majola, had a long -standing wrangle over a house at Emakhandeni suburb.

The row allegedly started in 2004 and has been dragging on at the High Court without a solution in sight.
