Zimbabwean clothing label Ubuntuism has featured on Leon Schuster’s movie entitled Mad Buddies.
Developed from a book by Simbarashe Simbarashe titled The Gospel Sacred of Hunhu/Ubuntu, the clothing line features a wide range of T-shirts, hats, sweaters, tracksuits and hoddies.
In an interview with NewsDay, marketing manager of Ubuntuism Artwell Nhandara said the clothing line was developed by South Africa-based Keith Dete.
“Ubuntuism clothing line was developed by Keith Dete with an aim to educate people on what we call hunhu in Shona or ubuntu (humanity) in Ndebele.
“It must be noted that what every religion is trying to teach is this humanity we spread through different mediums, which also include key holders and stickers,” said Nhandara.
He added that clothes under the label were worn in the movie which was directed by award-inning Gray Hofmeyr.
