The hearings against the fingered senior executives were based on the BCA forensic audit into the affairs of the troubled airline particularly insurance which the audit concluded was inflated.

The suspended executives include acting group chief executive Innocent Mavhunga, company secretary Grace Pfumbidzayi, finance director Nicholas Mujeri, finance manager Patience Tichagwa and human resources manager Oswald Madziva.

Pasipanodya yesterday agreed with the defence counsels that the hearings should be kept out of the media.

Johnlife Mawire representing Pfumbidzayi confirmed the development. Caleb Mucheche was not immediately available to confirm who among the suspended officials he was representing at the hearing.
