PROMINENT businessman Edmore Mungoni was on Saturday installed as Chief Dzvete, effectively ending the chieftainship wrangle that had dragged on for over 30 years.

The installation ceremony was held at Dzvete village in Chikwaka, Mashonaland East province.

Mungoni, who was born in Goromonzi in 1964, is a holder of a Diploma in Education and is the managing director of Global Printing Services.

In a speech read on his behalf, Local Government minister Ignatius Chombo urged Dzvete to prioritise developmental projects in the area.

“This area was lagging behind in terms of development because there was no chief for the past 30 years and I hope his coming in will enhance the betterment of developmental programmes in line with Zim Asset”, Chombo said.
