Shuntai Cement Plant is developing a 50 megawatt solar plant as well as another 50MW thermal station to support its operations.

The company is set to commence operations in September 2026 following a US$200 million investment.

“The cement plant itself represents an investment of US$120 million and will have a production capacity of 6,000 tonnes per day,” the company said in a statement.

“The plant will employ 400 people at the commencement of operations, with further opportunities expected to arise through supporting industries and services associated with the project.”

The company added that the integrated energy projects demonstrate its commitment to sustainable industrial development and long-term investment.

“Development of a 50MW solar power plant is underway, while plans are in place for a 50MW thermal power plant to support operations and contribute towards energy security,” the statement said.
