HARARE, Feb 16 (NewsDayLive) - Local property developer Ken Sharpe has obtained an order barring an online publishing company from publishing "defamatory and derogatory content" against his firm, WestPro Holdings.
The order, granted Friday by High Court judge, Justice Regis Dembure, prohibits Kukurigo Communications headed by Edmund Kudzai from publishing negative reports about the company.
This came after the media house had published a series of stories deemed as damaging to the property developing company.
"The respondents and all persons acting on their behalf be and are hereby interdicted and prohibited from publishing, producing, or disseminating any content that is defamatory or derogatory towards the applicants," the order reads.
Last week, Nominate Chazwe, an employee at Kukurigo Communications, was arrested on allegations of extortion after threatening to blackmail Sharpe.
Chazwe was placed on remand while his alleged accomplice, Kudzai, is alleged to be on the run.
