TOP gospel artiste Togarepi Chivaviro has published a book titled The Effective Gospel Singer-A Guide for Beginners that is dedicated to upcoming gospel musicians.

The 100-page piece will be officially launched on October 7 in Germstone, South Africa, during an event meant to celebrate the Ebenezer-Tiri Munyasha singer’s 20th anniversary in the music industry.

The award-winning musician said he wrote the book as a way of assisting upcoming musicians on how to compose and market their music.

“I have always longed to one day sit and put my musical story on paper, but it’s too long to be contained in one book.

Perhaps one day I will do an autobiography as I feel I have a lot to say to the posterity before I am called home to rest. I believe this book may just be some very little contribution to the music industry, especially for those still learning the ropes of the trade,” he said.

“I may fail to exhaust all that’s on my mind or all that musical beginners may want, but I will try to pour my heart out in a way that will help someone out there.”

The book was edited by Ezekiel Matope and printed at Sayprint Printers.

Meanwhile, Chivaviro, who is riding high with his latest album, Matishamisa Jireh, has postponed the 20th anniversary celebrations slated for this weekend in Harare due to the cholera outbreak.

“The celebrations slated for the Anglican Cathedral in Harare will now be held in November due to cholera fears. However, another event will hosted at the Germiston Prayer Centre in South Africa where we are also going to officially launch the book,” Chivaviro said.
