South African kwaito sensation L’vovo Derrango is set to perform at Queens Sports Club on Saturday.

Derrango, of Resista, Touch and Inamandla fame comes into the country a month after another Mzansi kwaito star, Professor, performed in the city.

It would be Derrango’s first time performing in the country. He has however staged a number of shows in his country and is a regular feature on South African television channels.

Born Thokozani Ndlovu, the musician hails from Newcastle in the KwaZulu Natal province.

Show promoter Lungile Dube of Kasi Events Management said all is set for the Saturday show. “We have finished working on the modalities for the show,” he said on Wednesday.

“We are just waiting for Saturday.” He said Derrango, who has five albums to his name, had promised to give it his best. The musician won two Metro FM awards for his debut album, Resista.
