HWANGE-BASED poet Euner Muzamba has taken her poetry performances to this year’s Edition of the Harare Agricultural Show (ZAS) that ends today.
The show roared to life on Tuesday under the theme Synergies for growth — co-operate, collaborate, complement to rally support for agriculture and its value chains for increased production, productivity and profitability.
Muzamba, who works with Hwange’s Shangano Arts Trust and entered the limelight in 2020 after reciting her poem titled An African Child, performs at the show today.
“As a poet I have worked on several poems which talk about COVID-19, child labour, children’s rights, gender-based violence, the 1972 Wankie Colliery Kamandama disaster and wildlife crimes,” she said.
“I feel excited to be performing at the Zimbabwe Agricultural Show and look forward to having more people following my works.”

She said she would use the opportunity to market herself and create linkages.
“I see opportunities and I will use this platform to market my work so that people get to know about my brand. I will take this opportunity to take my act, specifically wildlife poems to a larger audience.”
“Besides that, through poetry, I have performed in hotspot areas of wildlife crimes in Hwange district such as Chezhou, Cross Dete, Jwape Shangano, Main Camp and Victoria Falls. This has helped raise awareness about wildlife crimes in the communities.”
Muzamba is a final year student at Lupane State University studying towards a Bachelor of Arts Honours degree in Languages and Communication Studies.
