Fashion enthusiasts are in for a treat this Saturday at the Miss Zim hip-hop contest in Greendale.

Speaking to NewsDay, Tendai Tanga, one of the organisers of the event, said fashion had become another element of hip-hop music.

Hip-hop is a culture that grows and adds elements to it, said Tanga.

Fashion has now become one of the new hip-hop elements that followers of this music genre have come to be identified with.

He said a number of activities were lined up for the night.

The night will be packed with lots of entertainment with performances from local hip-hop artists like MC Chita, Shaffir, DJ Naida among others, he said. Other entertainers billed to perform at the show include South Africa-based rapper Mizchif, MC Cut, Karisma McKnife and Colours an all-girl hip-hop dance crew.

After successfully hosting the first ever Zim Hip-hop awards last December, Tanga said the magazine would continue promoting hip-hop music in the country.

Winners of the event will both receive holiday prizes as well as gracing the next issue of the magazine cover.
