KWEKWE — One of Zimbabwe’s most sought-after gospel artists, Blessing Shumba, will today host his maiden show at Mbizo Stadium alongside resident sungura artist Peter Moyo.
The show will provide the much-needed opening to a long weekend which includes public holidays on Monday and Tuesday.
Shumba has never performed in Kwekwe since his phenomenal rise on the gospel chats and this first family show at the prime gospel venue in Kwekwe has become the talk of the town.
Moyo’s Utakataka Express, which has never disappointed in front of its home fans, has promised a show to remember as they return to Mbizo Stadium for the second time in a year.
Moyo’s handler and band manager Sukulube Dube said Utakataka was ready to make it a show to remember for its loyal fans who supported the band from the start.
“This is our home where we have a very strong following of loyal fans some of whom follow us around the country for our shows. When we get a chance to perform for them we put on our best gear,” said Dube.
