RISING gospel artiste Absalom Ndlovu has launched his music career with the release of a debut single titled Ndoda, a heartfelt rendition of a beloved hymn from the Apostolic Faith Mission.
The single was released on Monday, marking a milestone in his spiritual and musical journey.
Speaking to NewsDay Life & Style, Ndlovu reflected on his journey from humble beginnings in Bulawayo, where he began singing at the age of 14 and took up music professionally by 17.
Over the years, the gospel artiste has performed as a lead and backing vocalist for a number of prominent gospel artistes, including Vocal Ex, Mai Mwamuka, Sipho Snowy, Dunamis Men, Takesure Zamar and Blessing Jeduthun.
“My story would not be complete without mentioning Harvest Music Zw, because that’s where I was nurtured and groomed,” he said, expressing gratitude to the platform and its executive producers, Bishops Collins and Sarah Nyathi.
Currently based in Harare, Ndlovu described his music as contemporary gospel, with a strong message centred on Christ’s sacrifice, mercy and grace.

“The key message of the project is the sacrifice Jesus made on the cross so that we may be restored from fallen man to child of God,” he said.
The debut single, Ndoda, is part of a series of singles that will make up his first solo album. While this marks his solo debut, Ndlovu has featured in the albums of other artistes.
He credited Jeduthun for offering invaluable support and guidance throughout the challenging production process.
“The journey was filled with hurdles, but we sailed through by God’s grace,” Ndlovu said. Another single is expected in December and others in the coming months, with specific release dates to be announced soon.
