First Mutual Health has plans to introduce a mobile application at the beginning of next year to enhance interaction with customers, a company executive has said.

First Mutual Health managing director Stanford Sisya said 2015 has been a rewarding year for the company and “one that we can look back on with pride at what we have achieved and with a sense of excitement about what the future holds”.

Sisya said the key milestone for business this year was the launch of a strategic partnership with Momentum Health culminating from a gap in the market for medical insurance for Zimbabwean students studying in South Africa.

“The partnership represents our desire to provide quality service, demonstrated claims paying ability, wellness campaigns, innovative products and affordable pricing to its members.”

First Mutual Health is a medical fund which is open to both corporates and individuals and offers a variety of plans, namely Opal International Plan, Sapphire Plus Plan, Sapphire Plan, Amber Plan, Ruby Plan, Coral Plan and the Topaz Plan.

It is a hybrid of insurance and savings which is of benefit to both claiming and non-claiming members.
