The African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) has launched Season Two of its documentary series, Impact Stories, spotlighting the bank’s expanding footprint across Global Africa and the Caribbean.

Building on the success of the inaugural season, the series illustrates how strategic investments are transforming lives, communities, and economies.

Through six immersive episodes, Afreximbank goes beyond numbers and balance sheets to show the real-world impact of its investments—revitalising industrial hubs, supporting creative entrepreneurs, developing infrastructure, and fostering cross-border partnerships.

The series makes clear how the bank’s strategic financing is driving economic growth and prosperity across Africa and its diaspora.

Produced in partnership with Create, CNN International Commercial’s branded content studio, the new season takes viewers on location to Grenada, Ghana, Côte d'Ivoire and Nigeria. The series brings to life landmark projects—from enterprise development to infrastructure expansion.

From resorts to refineries, farms to fashion, energy to stadiums: viewers will explore the Silversands Resort expansion in Grenada, a flagship of Africa-Caribbean cooperation; the Dangote Refinery in Lagos; Aba, Nigeria’s historic industrial hub revitalised by Geometric Power; and Ghana’s cocoa trade, enabled by Plot Enterprise.

The series also celebrates Africa’s creative economy, following Ghanaian fashion brand Boyedoe on its debut at Paris Fashion Week via Afreximbank’s Creative Africa Nexus programme, and concludes with the renovation of Abidjan's iconic Félix Houphouët-Boigny Stadium, showing the wider social and cultural benefits of investment.

Anne Ezeh, Afreximbank’s director of communications and events, said the films are much more than stories about investment, but portraits of partnership and progress, demonstrating the bank’s commitment to fostering economic independence.

By showcasing the entrepreneurs, communities, and national economies we partner with, we are sharing a vision of a prosperous and integrated Global Africa,” she said.

Martin Laing, senior director of production at CNN International Commercial's Create Brand Studio, said the collaboration has built a compelling, audience-first YouTube documentary series dedicated to telling powerful human stories and showcasing the real-world impact of their initiatives across Africa, its global diaspora, and beyond.

The new episodes premiered on Afreximbank TV on March 12 and will be supported by high-impact campaigns across CNN.com and CNN International. By highlighting the tangible outcomes of trade and investment, Impact Stories reinforces Afreximbank’s mandate: turning opportunity into prosperity for businesses and communities across Africa and the Caribbean.
