Award-winning Zimbabwean gospel musician Tatenda Mahachi is marking his birthday with the release of a deeply personal worship song, Ndirangarire (Lord, Remember Me), accompanied by an official music video.

Released today, the new song is framed as a prayer for people who have experienced seasons of waiting, silence and uncertainty in their walk with God.

Mahachi said the song was inspired by moments when people may feel unseen or forgotten, offering encouragement that God remains present even when answers appear delayed.

“This song is for everyone who feels like God isn’t listening. For the person crying at 2am wondering if they are loved. For the one who feels forgotten,” Mahachi said.

“It’s my prayer to God asking Him to remember me. And it’s a reminder that God always answers. He knows the right time.”

The song combines Mahachi’s worship-oriented sound with a message of hope and perseverance, encouraging listeners to remain steadfast in their faith during difficult seasons.

The musician said releasing the song on his birthday was deliberate, describing it as both a personal reflection and a gift to his supporters.

“I’m releasing this on my birthday because I believe God is reminding me — and all of us — that He remembers,” he said.

“If you’ve been waiting on God, let this song be your prayer too.”

The official music video is being premiered on Mahachi’s YouTube channel, where fans can also subscribe and follow his latest releases.

Ndirangarire (Lord, Remember Me) is available on digital platforms, with the video available on YouTube at Tatenda Mahachi.
