Respected communications and public relations practitioner, journalist and development practitioner Takemore Mazuruse has graduated with a Master of Arts in Digital Humanities with Distinction from the University of Zimbabwe.
Mazuruse was among the outstanding students capped at the university’s 45th graduation ceremony by University of Zimbabwe chancellor, President Emmerson Mnangagwa.
The Master of Arts in Digital Humanities is an interdisciplinary programme that equips professionals from diverse fields with skills in communication, digital research, enterprise and development practice.
Mazuruse’s research focused on impact reporting and fundraising communication for development organisations, examining how effective communication can strengthen development initiatives and improve the way organisations demonstrate and communicate their impact.
With more than 20 years of experience in the communications industry, Mazuruse has made significant contributions to journalism, public relations, strategic communication and community development.
He is also a correspondent with Alpha Media Holdings, where he continues to contribute to the country’s media landscape through reporting and storytelling.
Mazuruse is the founder and managing director of Esteem Communications, where his leadership and innovative approach to communication have seen him work across the media, public relations and development sectors.
His work has focused on shaping narratives, fostering public understanding, promoting dialogue and supporting positive change within communities.
The latest academic achievement adds to his professional experience and underscores his continued commitment to advancing communication, digital literacy and development practice.
