Renowned musician Giant Tagarisa has released three captivating singles that are already generating excitement among fans and industry watchers alike.

The new tracks — Ndipe Rudo, Chiremba Wenhamo and Tiyambutse — showcase Tagarisa’s versatility and his long-standing commitment to using music as a vehicle for positive social change.

Speaking after the release of the trending video for Ndipe Rudo, Tagarisa said music must remain rooted in society’s lived realities.

“Music should not divert from being an agent for social, economic and cultural realities whose meaning must be expressed through audio-visuals,” he said.

“Fusing audio and visuals using modern-day digital and technological platforms is premised on our quest to be non-discriminatory, while prioritising inclusivity to cater for audiences of diverse backgrounds, geography and age groups.”

He added that music should reinforce ethical values and community identity.

“Music should reflect community realities and societal contexts, with its meaning deriving impact among audiences. It must reinforce, revive and redirect people towards expected morals and ethics,” Tagarisa said.

Ndipe Rudo, accompanied by a visually compelling video, has garnered immense support online, with fans praising its emotional depth and Tagarisa’s vocal delivery.

The love-themed single blends rich melodies with relatable storytelling, reinforcing the artist’s enduring appeal.

Chiremba Wenhamo is an uplifting anthem centred on overcoming poverty through hard work, perseverance and faith. The track carries a motivational undertone aimed at inspiring resilience in the face of socio-economic challenges.

Meanwhile, Tiyambutse delivers a heartfelt spiritual message, appealing for salvation, liberation and collective renewal.

Maselo PaBeat, Tagarisa’s producer, commended the musician’s dedication to purposeful artistry.

“Tagarisa’s music has gained significant traction across digital platforms, resonating with diverse audiences,” Maselo said.

“He is passionate about assisting and complementing artists whose music stimulates and motivates communities towards development and transformation.”

He described Tagarisa’s catalogue as rooted in the philosophy of ubuntu.

“His music is an endorsement of strong societal and cultural norms governed within the precincts of ubuntu — the ‘I am because we are’ principle. It promotes tolerance, co-existence, inclusive development and empowerment through unity and love for one another,” Maselo added.

With over three decades in the music industry, Tagarisa has built a reputation for socially conscious music.

Over the years, he has collaborated with artists such as Pah Chihera, Baba Troy and Andy Muridzo.

His body of work has tackled pressing social issues, including child marriages, substance abuse and moral decline, cementing his status as a musician with a message.

The videos for Tiyambutse and Chiremba Wenhamo are set to be released soon on his YouTube channel and other digital platforms, as the veteran artiste continues to embrace modern distribution channels to reach wider audiences.

For now, fans are reveling in Ndipe Rudo — a song that once again proves that after three decades, Giant Tagarisa’s voice remains as powerful and purposeful as ever.
