Miss Heritage Global Zimbabwe has appointed accomplished executive leader, social entrepreneur, author and certified coach Sibonokuhle Buhlungu as its board advisor, in a move aimed at strengthening the organisation's governance and expanding its impact.
The pageant organisation announced the appointment in a statement, describing Buhlungu as an experienced leader whose expertise will help advance its vision of promoting Zimbabwe's cultural heritage while empowering young women.
Miss Heritage Global Zimbabwe said Buhlungu's extensive experience in leadership, governance, advocacy and partnership development would add strategic value to the board as the organisation continues to grow its programmes.
"We are delighted to welcome Ms Sibonokuhle Buhlungu to the Miss Heritage Global Zimbabwe family as our board advisor – Leadership, Women Empowerment and Strategic Partnerships,” the organisation said in a statement.
“Her wealth of experience in strategic leadership, governance, advocacy and partnership development will play an important role in supporting the board as we continue to strengthen the Miss Heritage Global Zimbabwe platform and advance our mission of preserving Zimbabwe's rich cultural heritage while empowering young women to become confident leaders and global cultural ambassadors.”
The organisation said Buhlungu would provide strategic guidance, mentorship and support in developing partnerships that would create more opportunities for contestants and the communities served through the pageant.
"As board advisor, Ms Buhlungu will provide strategic guidance, mentorship and support in developing partnerships that will enhance our programmes and create greater opportunities for our queens and the communities we serve,” the statement added.
“We are honoured to welcome her to the Miss Heritage Global Zimbabwe family and look forward to working together to inspire leadership, celebrate our heritage and make a lasting impact.”
