FC Platinum are leading the race to sign former Highlanders midfielder Mason Mushore , who has returned to Zimbabwe following a short stint with South African side, AmaZulu.
Mushore opted to return home after struggling for game time at Usuthu.
Although the Durban-based club reportedly still considered him part of their plans for the 2026/27 season, the holding midfielder was frustrated by his lack of opportunities.
The former Golden Eagles star failed to make a competitive first-team appearance after joining AmaZulu in January.
His signature has now attracted interest from several Castle Lager Premier Soccer League clubs, with FC Platinum, Triangle United, Chicken Inn, Simba Bhora and TelOne all understood to be monitoring his situation.
However, this publication understands that FC Platinum are currently in pole position to secure the services of the lanky midfielder.
Meanwhile, struggling Triangle United are on the verge of securing the signature of former Warriors striker Knox Mutizwa, this publication can reveal.
Mutizwa, who previously played for Bidvest Wits, Golden Arrows and Richards Bay in South Africa, was spotted at Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport in Harare on Tuesday night, sparking speculation over a return to the PSL.
