Ambitious Castle Lager Premier Soccer League outfit Hardrock have continued to bolster their squad ahead of a second-half onslaught, securing the services of Namibian international centre-back Sisqo Haraseb.
The 25-year-old becomes the latest high-profile acquisition for the promoted side, following the unveiling of Eswatini internationals Thubelihle Mavuso and Yekisizwe "Yeki" Khumalo last month.
While the flamboyant, Kwekwe-based club are yet to officially announce his arrival, Haraseb has confirmed he is already in the country.
He becomes the first Namibian to play for the Kelvin Kaindu coached side.
“I am in Zimbabwe now with Hardrock Football Club. I came here a few weeks ago,” Haraseb was quoted as saying by the Namibian press. "I’m already based here in Zimbabwe and I have been training with the team as I wait for the transfer window to open.”
Haraseb arrives in Zimbabwe following a challenging loan spell in the Iraqi Stars League with Al-Qassim FC, where he was tasked with a relegation rescue mission. It proved a disastrous campaign for the Iraqi outfit, who finished the 38-game season bottom of the table without a single win, recording 33 defeats and five draws to finish with a meager five points.
Despite that difficult chapter, Haraseb’s pedigree remains unquestioned.
Nicknamed the ‘Great Wall of Kalkfeld’, the defender rose to prominence during the 2024/25 Namibia Premier League season with Mighty Gunners FC, establishing himself as one of the division's most reliable central defenders. His imperious domestic form earned him a maiden international call-up in March 2025 from Brave Warriors head coach Collin Benjamin.
A strong showing on his Cosafa Cup debut subsequently ignited widespread transfer interest, leading to a move to Botswana's Mochudi Centre Chiefs, who later facilitated his loan move to Iraq.
Haraseb becomes the sixth foreign player on Hardrock’s books—four of whom hail from Eswatini—as the club boldly pushes for the league title in their maiden top-flight campaign.
The Kasongo Boys currently sit third in the table with 32 points, five behind leaders Scottland. However, they hold a game in hand owing to an abandoned clash against Dynamos, which is currently awaiting determination from league authorities.
Hardrock were recently torpedoed from the summit of the log after a minor slump in form, yielding just one point from a possible six.
A goalless draw against FC Platinum was followed by a damaging 2-0 defeat to their chief title rivals, Scottland, last week.
Haraseb, Mavuso, and Khumalo are all expected to be formally registered when the mid-season transfer window opens on July 1.
The defender’s arrival underscores the growing trend of Namibian talent moving to the domestic top flight.
A total of 12 Namibians are now contracted to Castle Lager Premier League sides.
Haraseb joins Dawid "Haaland" Ndeunyema, who moved to MWOS at the start of the season, while Simba Bhora boast a five-strong Namibian contingent comprising Dynamo Damaseb, McCartney Nawaseb, Kennedy Eib, Petrus Simaneka, and Alfeus Leevi.
Elsewhere, Isaskar Gurirab and Moses Shidolo are currently registered with Scottland while Tyrese Hikupembe and Alex Ueere Mumbango are turning out for Chicken Inn.
FC Platinum have Mbakondja Tjahikika on their books.
