CHICKEN INN…. (0) 2
BLACK RHINOS… (1) 1
CHICKEN Inn hitman Brian Muza notched a late brace as the GameCocks turned the tables on a determined Black Rhinos in an exciting Castle Lager Premier Soccer League match at Luveve Stadium yesterday.
The soldiers thought they had collected maximum points with a 36th minute beauty of a goal by Stanley Murove, who was set up by Tawanda Nyamandwe, but Chicken Inn had an ace up their sleeves for the visitors.
A timely substitution by coach Joey Antipas, who brought in Brighton Ncube, changed the complexion of the game for the Gamecocks as he set up Muza to score two goals inside two minutes in the 83rd and 85th minute to give Chicken Inn the three points.
The victory meant Chicken Inn returned to the top of the log-standings while Muza is now on eight goals.
Antipas was a happy man after the match.

“I think we pulled this one out of the jaws of defeat. We struggled with rhythm. When we made some changes and tried to pick up. Muza was out of the game, but if you give him half a chance he will use it,” Antipas said.
His counterpart Herbert Maruwa was disappointed to let the GameCocks come back from behind.
“The boys went to sleep. We had done well to score early. We failed to defend and made school boy blunders. Our strategy was to try and close the supply to Muza, but it didn’t work in the end. It’s a process. We need to improve, but I am happy with the progress of the team,” Maruwa said.
Rhinos had done well to frustrate Chicken Inn with Gracious Mleya shutting out the hosts’ playmaker Richard Hachiro in the first half.
But Chicken Inn’s fluidity improved in the second half after Antipas made a couple of changes and the GameCocks remain unbeaten in eight games.
