There is a supervised play area for the children and a jumping castle.

4×4 enthusiasts will be putting their skills to the test in all classes of vehicle from the latest SUV vehicles to the extreme and specially modified vehicles and they will be competing throughout the weekend in various challenges with the final test of the best being the Toyota Extreme Challenge, which will take place at 12pm on Sunday in the main Pit Area.

Some of the drivers have been competing since the early days of Jamboree, some with 50 years of driving experience under their belts. Many are considered veteran in the sport and they are still investing in their vehicles and modifications.    Mass Kirk first entered Jamboree in a long wheel base Cournil and has upgraded over the years to a special vehicle with 2 steering wheels! He has undertaken a complete rebuild and is ready for action this year.

Korna Courna “The Resurrection”

Korna Courna has always been one of the top competitors in the 4×4 special class often taking 1st Position. In the last competition it suffered a broken differential so they decided to rebuild her stronger and better, still following the same 4-wheel steering design with two steering wheels, one operated by the navigator but with some major improvements. The manual steering system has been upgraded to a fully hydraulic steering system with a hydraulic ram steering the rear wheels. Front and rear suspension have been upgraded for extra travel and ability combined with adjustable air suspension on both front and rear axles. The motor has been upgraded from the original Cournil 4 cylinder 2.0L motor to a Toyota 4.0L 6 cylinder motor alongside a substantial increase in tyre size for extra traction.

Over the years we have developed our site a Donnybrook to incorporate almost every type of 4 wheel drive challenge imaginable, these include the TrenTyre Mountain, and we have a new course
