ZimPost Digital Mall launch to foster efficiency in market

This was revealed by ZimPost postmaster-general Maxwell Chitendeni at the recently concluded 114th edition of the Harare Agricultural Show on Saturday.

ZIMPOST has taken a giant leap into the digital age with the launch of the Zimbabwean Mall online shopping platform which seeks to revolutionise e-commerce in the country.

The Zimbabwean Mall allows local traders to buy and sell goods online, eliminating the need for physical travel abroad.

This was revealed by ZimPost postmaster-general Maxwell Chitendeni at the recently concluded 114th edition of the Harare Agricultural Show on Saturday.

He said the initiative was a factor in the incorporation of the National Development Strategy 1 (NDS1)

Zimbabwean Mall is set to boost local trade, create new business opportunities and provide consumers with a wider range of products and services.

“We are excited to be transforming ZimPost into a modern, digitised organisation that makes a positive impact on the lives of Zimbabweans,” Chitendeni said.

“This exciting development is part of ZimPost’s broader strategy to transform its services in line with NDS1.”

With ZimPost’s extensive network of offices across the country, the platform is poised to reach even the most remote areas.

“This is a game-changer for Zimbabwean businesses and consumers alike,” Chitendeni said.

“We are committed to harnessing the power of technology to drive economic growth and development.”

Chitendeni also announced that ZimPost has surpassed its target by insuring 55 000 vehicles across Zimbabwe between May and August.

He said the success was a testament to the power of collaboration as ZimPost partnered Nicoz Diamond Insurance Limited and Global Risk Underwriting Managers to make insurance services more accessible to motorists.

The post-insurance promotion saw a lucky motorist, Christopher Nyoni, from Bulawayo, winning a brand new Nissan Note in absentia.
