UPCOMING afro and Nehanda sound musician, Craib “Mr Chocolate” Muchenjekwa, is ecstatic following the release of his debut album titled Gosheba Sheba.

The Botswana-based New Age Chimurenga Stouch Band lead singer said music has always been his dream, and is now ready to conquer the music industry.

Mr Chocolate features Botswana’s popular house-kwasa musician-cum dancer, Slizer, on the title track, Gosheba Sheba.

In an interview with Standard Style, the musician said: “Music is in my DNA, and I am very excited to have launched my debut album, which I believe will open doors for me.”

Mr Chocolate said he met the talented Motswana songstress at a recording studio where he was recording, and Slizer immediately fell in love with his music.

He then took this as an opportunity to ask her to do a collaboration with him.

“Back in Botswana, I was at a recording studio where I was booked [for] my recording, and Slizer walked in,” Mr Chocolate said.

“The producer [then] came to me and said: ‘Slizer likes your music’, and wants to talk to you.

“I saw this as an opening, and I requested her to do a [collaboration], and she said yes. That is when the chemistry started.”

Mr Chocolate said he learnt a lot from Slizer and believes the experience will help him along his musical journey.

So far, Mr Chocolate and Slizer have shot the video for the song, Gosheba Sheba, which is set to premiere on different platforms soon.
