River Valley Properties Private Limited has strengthened its operational capacity after investing in a new fleet of earthmoving machinery, service vehicles and security equipment aimed at improving efficiency across its property development projects.
The investment, unveiled during an inspection of ongoing works at Woodlands Park Phase 2 is expected to accelerate the delivery of critical infrastructure, including roads, drainage systems, sewer reticulation and water services in the company's housing developments across the Midlands province.
Group chairman engineer Mncedisi Dube and group chief executive officer Smelly Dube toured the site to assess the newly acquired equipment, describing the acquisition as a key milestone in the company's drive to deliver quality developments within shorter timeframes.
During the handover ceremony, Dube presented the keys to machine operators and urged them to safeguard the equipment through responsible use and regular maintenance.
“We are handing these keys to you so that you appreciate the vision that we have to grow our operations and cement our position in industry as a key player,” Dube said.
“You should use it wisely, keep it well maintained and clean, so that it sustains us for a long time.”
Employees who received the equipment pledged to operate and maintain the machinery responsibly, saying they understood its importance in supporting the company's long-term growth strategy.
In a move to strengthen safety within the expanding Woodlands Park development, the company also commissioned a motorcycle for use by its security team during patrols.

Dube said the additional mobility would improve surveillance and enable security personnel to respond more quickly across the large residential development.
“Our security officers have a wide area to cover during their patrols, so we decided that they need a flexible transport system such as a motorbike,” Dube said.
“This way they can cover more ground faster than before and enhance their visibility to deter criminals.”
She added that the latest acquisitions form part of a broader investment programme, with more equipment expected to arrive and be commissioned in the near future.
“More such equipment is on the way and it will be commissioned after it is delivered to the company,” she said.
The latest investment underscores River Valley Properties' commitment to expanding its operational capacity as it positions itself for continued growth in Zimbabwe's property development and construction sectors while improving service delivery to clients.
