The visitors looked to have been hard done, but coach Sunday Chidzambwa would not be drawn into blaming the match officials, choosing to be a bit diplomatic with his comments.
“I can’t blame the referees, but I think with a bit of luck, we should have gone home with all three points, but at the end of the day, a point away from home against a side as good and organised as FC Platinum is not a bad result,” Chidzambwa said.
Raphael Manuvire should have put his side ahead just before half time, but he failed to punish Elvis Moyo, having intercepted the FC Platinum defender’s headed back pass and producing a tame shot instead.
FC Platinum fashioned out chances too in the first half, but were denied by the brilliance of goalkeeper Tendai Hove.
