TBK announces arrival with bold debut EP Project TBK

Tabaka Precious Moyo

From the dusty paths of Makorokoro Village in Plumtree to the vibrant cultural pulse of Bulawayo, rising hip-hop artist Tabaka Precious Moyo has officially stepped into the spotlight with her debut five-track EP, Project TBK.

“My debut EP is a defining project that cements my place in Zimbabwe’s creative space,” said TBK.

Rooted in Afrocentric expression and layered with urban flair, the EP showcases TBK’s identity as a multilingual rapper, seamlessly blending Kalanga, Ndebele and English. Each track carries its own energy while contributing to a cohesive narrative of self-discovery, confidence and artistic purpose.

“This project is me finding my place in the world. It is about adding something that isn’t already there — that’s how my sound was born,” she added.

The EP features collaborations with Luchi Shiki, GhaWdZiLLaDaBroducer and Fuel The Don. Fuel The Don handled most of the production, while GhaWdZiLLaDaBroducer oversaw engineering, resulting in a polished and immersive sound that balances lyrical sharpness with sonic depth.

Leading the visuals is Preamble (Intro), a track that not only opens the EP but sets the tone for the entire project.

“The track is designed to define the direction of the project and the year ahead, marking the beginning of a new era in hip-hop — one I am committed to seeing through,” TBK said.

The release builds on her growing momentum following her feature on the Sound of the City album, which earned a nomination at the ZimHipHop Awards.

From her roots in Plumtree to performances on international stages in India, TBK channels her journey into a debut that feels both personal and powerful.

If Project TBK is anything to go by, she is not just introducing herself — she is positioning herself as a bold new voice in Zimbabwean hip-hop.
