ZIMBABWE'S banking sector is gearing up for the IOBZ Interbank Games 2026, with financial institutions set to compete in a wide range of sporting disciplines during the two-day event in Harare next week.
According to the organisers, the games will be held on July 11 and 12 at the University of Zimbabwe under the theme "One Industry. One Spirit. One Victory."
The event is expected to bring together employees from participating banks and financial institutions for competition, networking and team building through sport.
Competitors will battle for honours in football, basketball, volleyball, tug of war, athletics, chess, table tennis, pool, squash, lawn tennis, netball and darts.
The games are also intended to promote teamwork, camaraderie and healthy competition within Zimbabwe's banking industry.
Participating institutions include FBC Holdings Limited, NMB Bank, Stanbic Bank, Ecobank, People's Own Savings Bank (POSB), CBZ Bank, First Capital Bank, BancABC, the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe, NBS Bank, CABS, AFC Commercial Bank, Nedbank Zimbabwe, ZB Financial Holdings and TN CyberTech Bank Limited.

Ahead of the main sporting festival, participating institutions will take part in the IOBZ Interbank Golf Tournament, scheduled for July 3 at Royal Harare Golf Club.
