CENTRAL League Soccer pacesetters Tripple B continue with their march towards promotion with a date against army side Tongogara at Dulibadzimu Stadium tomorrow. Tripple B are riding high after claiming the bragging rights in the border town of Beitbridge following a 1-0 edging of rival Strikers FC last week.

The win saw “Tshintsha Magiya” maintain a 11-point lead at the summit of the log with 60 points, and an inch closer to promotion.

Tomorrow, they date Tongogara who have rediscovered their winning form, coming from a 2-0 victory over troubled Blanket Mine.

Second-placed Chapungu, who trail the log leaders by 11 points, travel to relegation-bound Jessie Mine in what appears to be an easy assignment for the Airforce side.

Strikers, who are smarting from a derby defeat at the hands of Tripple B last week, travel to Kwekwe for a date with NewZimsteel at Torwood Stadium.

“Vavheneki”, as Strikers are known in the border town, last weekend saw their hopes of catching up with Tripple B being shuttered when they fell to the latter.

Although Strikers still have two games in hand, with a chance to cut Tripple B’s lead to eight points, their chances of usurping the log leaders are getting thinner and thinner with each outing.
