AJAX CAPE TOWN stars Khama Billiat  and Matthew Booth have smoked the peace pipe following last week’s training ground brawl.

Report by Michael Madyira

Both were in the starting line-up against Kaizer Chiefs in an ABSA Premiership match last night.

Billiat claimed on Facebook and Twitter to have been assaulted by his teammate Booth and expressed anger over the way the club had dealt with the issue. But on Monday the 22-year-old Zimbabwean denied ever being involved in a bust-up with 35-year-old Booth.

However, Ajax media and communications manager Mark Meyer exclusively confirmed to NewsDay Sport last night that the duo had an altercation, but said they had since made up. “It was a training ground occurrence and the players resolved their differences,” said Meyer.
