THE touring Bangladesh cricket team arrived in the country on Thursday night ahead of their upcoming series against Zimbabwe which starts with the first Test at Harare Sports Club next Wednesday.

With just five days left before the opening Test, the team was expected to get straight to serious business in preparation for the battle between the lowest ranked Test teams.

Zimbabwe Cricket’s communications manager Lovemore Banda confirmed the Tigers’ arrival yesterday.

“Bangladesh arrived in Harare on Thursday evening, for a month-long tour of Zimbabwe that will comprise two Test matches, three one-day international matches and two Twenty20 Internationals,” he said.

The Bangladesh national cricket team has declined a warm-up match offer, preferring instead to fly in and go straight into serious business without a feel of the local conditions.
