The 11-year-old Zimbabwe junior golfer of the year shot rounds of 78, 80 and 78 to win the four day tourney by 22 strokes, ahead of the defending champion and local favourite Senayah Moodliar.

Last year, Danielle — who was making a debut appearance at the challenge — finished second, six shots behind to Moodlier and it was sweet revenge as the Zimbabwe junior golf sensation won convincingly.

She was then selected to play in the Dunbar Cup which is a Ryder Cup style team event where she won her match by 9 strokes over 18 holes.

Brother Jacques Bekker (15) who accompanied her to South Africa also participated in the Dunbar Cup — and his team (the Elephants) won.

Prior to her trip to South, she competed in championship division of the Zimbabwe Ladies Golf Amateur Open finishing seventh out of eleven competitors before winning four consecutive juniors barely a week ago.

Having started her career as a 36 handicap early last year, Danielle has rapidly improved her handicap to 11. Danielle looks forward to competing at the Holiday Classic in Florida on December 22 while she continues to compete in South Africa tournaments to increase her exposure to big stage competition.
