ZIMBABWE internationals Quincy Antipas and Silas Songani will cross swords when the Danish top-flight football league resume next weekend following a mid-season winter break.
The SuperLiga resumes on Friday, but the Warriors duo will have to wait until Sunday when their sides SønderjyskE for Songani and Antipas’ Hobro clash. Hobro, by then, are expected to have completed the loan signing of Nyasha Mushekwi from Mamelodi Sundowns.
The two sides are currently involved in club friendlies ahead of the resumption of the league and the two Zimbabweans seem to be enjoying a good form going into the clash.
Songani netted in the 2-1 win over Romanian second tier side FC Valuntari on Thursday evening while Antipas scored an equaliser in a 2-2 draw against Slovakian champions Kosice.
With the two sides separated with just a point, it promises to be an interesting clash. A win for Hobro, currently on 21 points, will see them opening a four point gap on SønderjyskE and Antipas would walk away with the bragging rights.
SønderjyskE are a rung away from relegation zone and so the clash is not as important to Antipas as it is to Songani.

Across Europe in Czech Republic, the Czech Liga is also still in the midseason break so no league action for Warriors defender Costa Nhamoinesu whose side Sparta Praha is second on the log, a point behind leaders Viktoria Plzen.
Just like the Danish SuperLiga, the Liga is also resuming on Friday next week, but Nhamoinesu’s side will only be playing the following Monday.
The team is currently on tour of Europe where there are playing friendly matches in preparation for the resumption of the league. Since the league’s break in November last year, the team has played nine friendly matches, losing two, a 5-2 loss to Holland’s giants PSV and a 3-0 defeat to Romanian side Steaua Bucuresti last Friday.
Nhamoinesu was rested for the Friday match although he was expected to return to the lineup last night in a match against Russian giants Rubin Kazan’.
Still in Europe, Knowledge Musona is yet to taste victory since joining Belgian top-flight side KV Oostende in January.
The Warriors man has featured in four of the five matches since his switch from the Bundesliga, but all has ended in agony for the striker.
The 24-year-old was shown a straight red card five minutes into his third match for the club on Friday last week, but the decision was rescinded on appeal by the club.
According to reports from Belgium, the Federal Office of the Royal Belgian Football Association deemed Musona’s red card in a match against Club Brugge on Saturday last week inappropriate and a three match ban could not be pursued.
Although he missed the team’s 1-1 draw away to Genk, he returned to the starting line-up on Saturday and played the whole match at home to Lokeren. Unfortunately for Musona, his team was on the receiving end once again as they lost 1-0.
Including the latest setback, Musona has featured in four matches for his team since joining from Hoffenheim, all ending in losses and conceding 13 goals in the process.

It’s not looking all good for Madinda Ndlovu’s defending beMobile League champions Township Rollers who suffered their third loss this season on Friday after going down 2-0 to BDF XI.
That poor run of form has seen their eight point lead at the top being wiped out, and their newest defeat saw them surrendering the top position to Centre Chiefs who now have a one point advantage going into the final lap of the title race.
