MIDLANDS Provincial governor and Resident Jason Machaya has lashed out at critics of Zanu PF’s empowerment drive labelling them “angels of darkness”.

Addressing guests during a poorly-attended February 21st Movement mass prayer meeting dedicated to celebrating President Robert Mugabe’s 89th birthday in Gweru last Thursday, Machaya had no kind words for critics of the party’s economic indigenisation policy.
“Those who don’t support the indigenisation drive, those who want to donate our ancestral heritage to other people are not of God. They are the children of Satan. The same goes to those who want to support gays in this country, they are devils,” Machaya said.
Zanu PF is on record accusing the MDC-T of allegedly supporting homosexuality and slamming the indigenisation policy which is fronted by Indigenisation minister Saviour Kasukuwere.
Several pastors who preached at the meeting also took turns to bootlick Mugabe by claiming he was ordained by God.

“President Mugabe was ordained to be a leader long before he was born and we should, therefore, give him prayers and ask the lord to give him long life,” Richard Bubby Chiwara of Champions Ministries International said.
The prayer meeting, which saw police closing down part of 5th Street in Gweru’s central business district was co funded by Smelly Dube who recently courted controversy after partnering Zanu PF Buhera North MP William Mutomba to form Midkwe Minerals and attempted to grab Kwekwe-based Chaka Gold Plant from its Australian owner Lee Jones.
Incidentally, Dube was the master of ceremonies at the prayer meeting.
