Mimosa Mine spokesperson Elizabeth Chibanda identified the deceased as Charles Teketai.
“Teketai (41) was tramming ore when his LHD machine encroached into a drill steel barricade, resulting in one of the drill steels striking his head. He died from the subsequent injuries,” she said.
Chibanda said Mimosa was conducting full investigations to determine the cause of the accident in line with the company’s safety policies in attaining zero harm in all its operations.
