A BULAWAYO man appeared in court yesterday charged with fatally stabbing his housemaid 10 times after she allegedly spurned his sexual advances.

The 42-year-old suspect, Vincent Tinashe Chikoore, from Gwabalanda suburb, was arrested on Tuesday, having been on the run since New Year’s Eve.
The State alleges that Chikoore stabbed Dudzai Hungwe on December 31 last year shortly after the family had moved to its lodgings.
Chikoore claimed that he stabbed Hungwe, killing her instantly, after she had seduced him.

Presiding magistrate Sheunesu Matova remanded him in custody to January 18.
