Despite Zimbabwe facing a crippling cash crisis, among a myriad of other acute challenges that need urgent attention, Zimbabwe President Robert Mugabe (92), on Wednesday flew to Uganda for the swearing in ceremony of Yoweri Museveni.

Museveni, in power for 30 years, was re-elected for a fifth term early this year.

Zimbabwe is faced with a cash crisis that has resulted in the central bank announcing they will soon introduce bond notes to deal with the long bank queues and massive cash shortage amid many other challenges that include massive job losses, company closures and drought-induced food shortages.

New Vision of Uganda reported about Mugabe’s arrival, a day before the inauguration ceremony.
